Ford Teases a Possible 60th Anniversary Version of the Next Generation Mustang

Familiarly Different

Ford just recently released a new video upon the internet as another teaser for the 2024 Mustang in a recent social media post. A very short 10 second video advertising The Stampede, a massive event where Mustang owners are invited for a cruise to Dearborn for a live debut of the seventh-generation Mustang.

During that brief teaser video, the rear portion of the new S650 gen was shown with a retro 'GT' badge,
and a color matched decklid panel which is vastly different from the gloss black decklid panel seen on every 2015-2023 Ford Mustang. The exterior color of this car appears to be something similar to Ford's Wimbledon White, the famous exterior color found on the very first Ford Mustangs that rolled off of the assembly line in Dearborn. Although Wimbledon White first debut was in 1964, it has made its way on the exterior of many different Mustangs including a notable 50th Anniversary Mustang offered for the then new 2015 S550 Ford Mustang.

When Ford started production of the S550 Mustang towards end of 2014, they knew a limited edition "Anniversary" trim was needed to not only celebrate 50 wildly successful years of the Mustang brand in general, but also to celebrate the Mustang being sold internationally for the first time ever!

The 2015 Ford Mustang Anniversary Edition

The 2015 Anniversary Edition featured retro styling cues taken from the very first Ford Mustang such as the retro Pony chrome grille, chrome window trim, chrome side badges, and Wimbledon White as the only exterior color. The interior was also color matched with white leather inserts on the door panels and seats. Altogether, the 50th Anniversary edition Ford Mustang was the most modern, yet retro Mustang you could get with only 1,964 cars being built.

I believe the car teased in Ford's recent video is a 60th Anniversary Edition Mustang to kick off the new S650 Generation Ford Mustang just as Ford did with the launch of the S550 Mustang platform. With that said, all of our questions will be officially answered on September 14. That's when the new 7th generation Mustang will debut, and Ford is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable one.

Which Ford 2.3L ecoboost Cylinder Head Is Better? RS Verses Non-RS

The Ford 2.3L four cylinder turbocharged ecoboost engine has been around for a while now. First debuting in the 2015 Ford Mustang, the small & mighty four banger Ford has been a very popular choice for Mustang buyers. Despite it's rough start and lack of initial interest, ecoboost sales began to take off, as the S550 Generation Ford Mustang continued to evolve.  Over the past 8 years of production, Ford only made two variants of the 2.3L ecoboost engine. There is the standard run of the mill 2.3L that you will find in the Mustang, Ranger, and Explorer. Then there is the more special and rarer version that first came in the 2016 Ford Focus RS, then later in the 2020 HPP ecoboost Mustang. Since the arrival of the RS 2.3L, many have wondered what exactly makes it better than the standard 2.3L ecoboost. What we do know is that the RS block and cylinder head is casted of a different (stronger) alloy, and it's fitted with different pistons, camshafts, and a larger turbocharger. H...

Is the Toyota GR GT3 The Mysterious Mazda Co Developed RWD Sport Coupe???

Could This Be?!?! I honestly don't know if there is ANY relevance to this new GR GT3 Toyota Race Car & the partnership with Mazda. I Do Know this is an interesting development nonetheless, With a lot of already known information from Toyota. Articals dating back to as early as 2019, began reporting on the new collaboration between Toyota and Mazda. Of course the new collaboration being a High Performance, Front Engine, RWD, Coupe.  Since then, not much has changed with the information other than we know "something" is definitely in the works between the two Companies. However!  Toyota just came out of nowhere with the announcement of their new performance prodigy, the GR GT3 Race Car Concept.  It's truly a stunning vehicle from it's looks! An amazing looking machine indeed...  Too bad it's ONLY a race car for Toyota.  Ah, but there is more to it than that! See, the race series this car is meant to race has homologation requirements. Meaning, for a Car ...
